Brief Description:

The presentation will include introduction to the concepts and principles of Person Centered Thinking (PCT). Participants will be introduced to the 11 PCT skills as well as have guided practice in at least 10 of 11 skills. In addition, participants will identify how they can use the 11 PCT skills to complete their job functions. Participants will complete some activities on themselves, with a partner and in small group work as well as sharing learning in a large group setting.

Objectives:

Participants will:

• Know the core concept of PCT
• Have guided practice in at least 10 of the 11 PCT skills
• Identify various ways that PCT skills and resources can be used to support their professional/personal roles, including: discovery/assessment, planning, review, authorizing services and supports, etc.
• Identify how to organize the info gathered using the PCT skills
