Valuing Lives – Film and Discussion
On April 19 from 1:00-3:00pm we will be co-hosting a Zoom viewing and discussion of the powerful one-hour documentary film, “Valuing Lives,” which portrays the life and work and especially the ideas of Wolf Wolfensberger. A discussion will follow with a panel of Senior Social Role Valorization trainers. The discussion will be led by Jack Yates with a panel of Senior Social Role Valorization teachers consisting of Jo Massarelli and Joe Osburn available to answer viewer questions and offer additional insights into Dr. Wolfesberger’s life and work. This is an excellent first introduction to Social Role Valorization and the other ideas that Dr. Wolfensberger developed, and to the revolutionary changes in the lives of people with intellectual impairment.
