SSA Basics Bundle Fall 2023 – Sessions 1-7
This bundle is specifically for County Boards that want to register for ALL 7 WEEKS. COG members or COG non-members can register participants to all 7 weeks through this event link. All trainings are both in person and virtual. The days for the 7-week trainings are as follows:
- August 10, 2023 9am-3pm at Job and Family Services Seneca County Topics: Introduction to waivers, role of SSA, eligibility, due process, TCM and professional ethics
- August 17, 2023, 9am-12pm Virtual Training Topics: Med assessments, signs and symptoms of illness or injury, COG reviews, and benefits and Medicaid
- August 24, 2023, 9am-3pm at Job and Family Services Seneca County Topics: Positive culture, empathy, trauma informed care, behavior supports, and MUI prevention planning
- August 31, 2023, 9am-3pm at Job and Family Services Seneca County Topics: History of DD, self-determination, self-advocacy, and cultural competence
- September 7, 2023, 9am-3pm at Job and Family Services Seneca County Topics: Implicit bias, inclusive language, Ohio IPS, outcome development, and person-centered planning
- September 14, 2023, 9am-3pm at Job and Family Services Seneca County Topics: MSS/CPT
- September 21, 2023, 9am-12pm Virtual Training Topics: Team processes and facilitating a meeting
