DODD Prescribed Medications and Health Related Activities Re-Certification 2
CERTIFICATION 2 ————————
Course Title: Clearwater COG Medication Administration Certification 2 Course Administration of Food and Prescribed Medications via Stable Labeled Gastrostomy/Jejunostomy Tube via Delegated Nursing.
Course Description: The purpose of the Medication Administration Certification 2 Course is to train unlicensed personnel to administer food and medications via tube inserted into the stomach or jejunum to individuals in DD settings.
Unlicensed Personnel Certification Requirements: To be eligible for certification as a DODD Unlicensed personnel candidate must have a DODD Medication Administration Category 1 Certification and meet the following minimal requirements:

- Current certification in Category 1 and in good standing;
- Meets the criteria of Nurse Aide registry background check;
- Meets the criteria of DODD Abuser Registry;
- Meets the criteria of background check in compliance with the Rule 5123:2-02-2.
Criteria or Successful Completion of this Course: The Certified DD personnel candidate must attend the class in its entirety, participate in all class activities, successfully pass a closed book exam with a 80% or higher score and successfully complete a skill check for each task taught in the course and complete an evaluation.
Instructional Methods/Learning Tools: Lecture, small group interactive exercises, class discussion, return demonstrations, quizzes, puzzles, student note taking, written exam, overheads and power point presentation. Simulation of administering food and medication via G-Tube. G/J Tube or simulation, Mickey button, feeding pump, syringe gauze, tape, “medication” tablet and liquid form.
