Clearwater COG began offering benefits analysis and coordination services in August 2015. It was quickly discovered that this was a much needed area of support. Currently, the COG provides benefits analysis and coordination services to the following member counties: Erie, Huron, Morrow, Ottawa, and Seneca.

What is Benefits Analysis and Coordination?
* A review of the past benefits to make certain the individual is currently in the most appropriate benefits scenario. Sometimes mistakes are made and it can take time to be recognized and corrected. This can result in benefits paid incorrectly.
*Review current goals and dreams of the individual to determine the best options moving forward for employment.
*A meeting with the individual to discuss the findings in the benefits analysis.
*Assistance in reporting appropriate income exclusions and work incentives.
*A review and explanation regarding correspondence with the Social Security Administration as needed.
*Help with applications and redetermination forms with federal and state funded benefit programs.
*Benefits Coordination is designed to teach the individual about the benefit programs that apply to the individual. The goal is to be self-sufficient and the benefits coordinator will assist in teaching and supplying resources to reach this goal.
