Update March 16, 2020
We are in unprecedented times as a result of the COVID-19. I am reaching out to all of the counties and providers that we work with to offer assistance. We are continuing to work through these crisis times as best we can and we must come together in the offering of support. I have directed our staff to not go into people’s/family homes at this time unless absolutely essential (for example, Major MUI). We are looking to keep all people as safe as possible. We will be completing what we can via phones and technology. I have assured everyone that if things get postponed or are late it will be OK. Most of the things we do can wait until things calm down. I want our staff to be of assistance to local county boards, providers, individuals served, and DODD, that is how everyone will get through these times.
To that end, please let me know how we can be of assistance to your county and/or agency. We are working to make our on-line training available and free to all. You will be notified as soon as that is available. Some examples that I have thought of are; calling providers and individuals to see if they need anything, providing MUI training via technology for new DSPs, writing ISP addendums when needed, calling for provider agencies to reschedule doctor appointments, driving gift cards around when needed, grocery shopping for providers, etc.. Don’t hesitate to ask for help, we will do our best to accommodate.
Should you want to access any of our staff please contact me directly my information is:
I will monitor my email and text closely. Please feel free to reach out and get the help you need.
