Next up in our Meet the COG series is Mya Brough!
Mya is the Program Specialist for the COG and she was interviewed by Amy Lash.
What is your favorite part of working at the Clearwater COG?
I enjoy all of my co-workers as well as helping the individuals. I like how everyone can come together in hopes of making the lives of the individuals we serve more meaningful.
What is your favorite season (summer, fall, winter, spring) and why?
I do not have a favorite season. I have a least favorite season which is winter. I hate being cold all the time in winter. In the fall, I enjoy watching my girls play soccer. In the spring, I enjoy watching my older daughter run track and my younger daughter play soccer. In the summer, I enjoy being outside. This will include going camping, hiking, hunting with my kids and 4-H projects.
What is your favorite sports team?
I do not have one favorite sports team. It depends on what the type of team such as high school, college or professional. For high school, I like the Oak Harbor Rockets. For college, I like the Ohio State Football team. Finally for a professional team, I like the Detroit Tigers.
If you knew the world would end in 2018, what would you do differently?
I would spend more time with my family and kids. I would spend time traveling with my kids to Australia as well as road trips with no set destination. We would just drive and see where we end up.
What motivates you to work hard?
My kids motivate me to work hard. I have had a good life so far, but want to be able to give my kids more opportunities than I had growing up. I also want to be a better person for myself. By becoming a better me, I hope to show my kids that they can do whatever they want to be better for themselves.
